Jesus said that all of the Old Testament Law and Prophets could be summed up in two commands: "Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor in the same way you love yourself" (Matthew 22:37-40). We seek to show love to our neighbors by serving the residents of McLeansboro, Hamilton County, and the surrounding areas in tangible ways. This primarily takes place through S.O.A.L. Wednesdays and two scheduled events each year: Day of Service (Spring) and Serve 360 (Summer). Ten Milers join together in teams to meet the needs of their neighbors by performing needed light construction/repair and brush clearing work.
Ten Mile seeks to be a part of making disciples of all nations by partnering with church planting and strengthening efforts in central and northeastern Nicaragua. Operation Ruta Boaco - Siuna is led by national Nicaraguan partners and is working to build a pastor training center in Rio Blanco Nicaragua and strategically plant churches along the vast interior highway corridor spanning the Pacific and Atlantic ocean coasts of Nicaragua. Our partnership involves prayers, financial support, ministry teams 2-3 times each year, and participation in biblical/theological training for local pastors. Religion to Relationship ministries was started by Eli Lee, a self supporting missionary who relocated from Missouri to Krin Krin, Nicaragua, a small village on the Rio Coco which forms the border between Nicaragua and Honduras. Eli, Leah, and their children (teens & early twenties) have established a home among the Miskito peoples, learned the language, and are pouring into the locals through Bible study, evangelism, and community development, as well as working to disciple and strengthen existing pastors in the region. Next Trip dates/details will be announced soon! Approximate Cost: $1500 If you are a regular attender or member and are interested in this trip, please fill out the "Interested in Serving" form here or contact Pastor Ben.
