Being forgiven changes everything Pt. 3

Sep 13, 2026    Pastor Jacob Gray

What if the thing standing between us and true forgiveness is not anger, but something far more personal -- hurt? This message digs into the surprising root of unforgiveness and challenges us to be honest about the wounds we carry. Drawing from Hebrews 10, we are reminded that God has made a covenant with us, promising to put His laws on our hearts and to remember our sins no more. Because of that covenant, we are invited -- with full confidence -- to draw near to God. Not as strangers, not as burdens, but as children who belong to Him. The passage in Hebrews 10:19-23 is not just theological language; it is a personal invitation to stop standing at a distance and start living in the relationship God paid such a high price to offer us. If we have been carrying shame, regret, or the weight of past mistakes, this message calls us to recognize that we have become spiritual hoarders -- holding on to what God has already forgiven. The question it leaves us with is this: are we living like people who have truly been forgiven, or are we still dragging yesterday into today?
