Down but not out Pt. 2

What happens to our hearts when God answers our prayers and the blessings begin to pile up? This message takes us deep into the story of King Hezekiah, a man who experienced one of the most dramatic reversals in all of Scripture. Surrounded by enemies, told by a prophet that he would die, he humbled himself before God and received healing, deliverance, and extraordinary prosperity. But the very blessings that God poured out became the soil in which pride took root. Through the parallel accounts of 2 Kings 20 and 2 Chronicles 32, we see a sobering pattern that is as relevant to our lives today as it was to ancient Israel. God withdrew from Hezekiah not out of cruelty, but to reveal what was truly in his heart. The treasures that once belonged to God had quietly become his own. The same question hangs over us: have the blessings of God drawn us closer to him, or have they quietly pulled us away? This is a message about gratitude, stewardship, and the dangerous drift that can happen when abundance replaces dependence.
