When God meets you where you are! Pt. 4

Jul 26, 2026    Pastor Jacob Gray

What does it truly mean to trust God, and how do we get there? This message digs into one of the most honest questions we face in our faith journey: can we really build our lives on someone we cannot see? Drawing from Hebrews 7, we explore the character of Jesus as our high priest, one who is holy, harmless, undefiled, and unchanging. The central insight is both simple and profound: trust is not built in calm seasons but through experience. We come to know God the same way we come to know anyone, by going through the fire with Him and discovering that He does not walk away. The passage reminds us that Jesus lives forever to intercede for His children, and that permanence is the very foundation our wavering faith needs. In a world where friendships shift, circumstances change, and even our own hearts are inconsistent, the unchanging nature of God is not a theological footnote but a lifeline. We are challenged to stop wearing the mask of spiritual perfection and instead come honestly before God, because the only thing standing between us and His mercy is pride.
