The blessings that was and is
This powerful message challenges us to move beyond merely celebrating the resurrection to actually living in its transformative power. Drawing from Hebrews chapter 2, we're confronted with a profound truth: Jesus didn't just defeat death, sin, and Satan's greatest weapon of fear—He did it specifically so we could experience daily victory. The sermon asks us a piercing question: if we truly believe Christ conquered the grave, why do we live as though we're still in bondage? We're reminded that Jesus took on human flesh to sympathize with our weaknesses, becoming our merciful and faithful High Priest. The concept of propitiation is beautifully explained—Christ didn't just satisfy God's wrath against our sin, He restored our relationship with the Father. We're now called sons and daughters of God, friends of the Most High. The message emphasizes that 80% of our trials may stem from our own pride and unwillingness to surrender to God. When we humble ourselves and bring our struggles to Him, He promises to aid us in every temptation. The heartbreaking reality is that many of us know these truths intellectually but don't live them experientially. We pitch tents in our valleys of suffering rather than walking through them with confidence in God's presence and power.
